Privacy policy

The short version: we never keep your files.

Last updated 1 October 2026

Your files

A file you add to PDF Editor Box is used for one thing only: producing the result you asked for. We do not store it, back it up, read its contents, or share it with anyone. Once your download is ready and you leave the page, the file is gone. There is no copy left behind to expire or delete later.

The same applies to everything you produce with the tools. Merged, compressed, converted, edited, and signed documents exist only until you download them.

What we do not collect

Saved preferences on your device

A few features remember your choices on the device you are using. This data is never sent to us.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to count page views and understand which tools are used. Such analytics record aggregate information such as the page visited, the referring site, browser type, and country. They do not track you across sites, and they never see your files or their contents.

Advertising

To keep the tools free we may display advertising outside the work area. If an advertising partner is used, it may set cookies or use similar technology in line with its own privacy policy, and we will name the partner on this page and provide a way to manage consent where the law requires it. Advertising never has access to your files.

Website logs

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser user agent) for security and reliability. These logs are retained for a short period and are not combined with any other data.

Children

Our tools are not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Material changes will be announced on the home page.
